4 to 5 DAYS TRIP
Ready for three amazing riding days in the jungle of Tarapoto. Best Amazonian cuisine and nice lodgings plus the great and friendly local culture.
Season: From May to October.
Average Stats: 50 Km day ride average / 4-6 hours riding time.

About the place:
Tarapoto is the biggest city in the Peruvian jungle, the capital of the Amazonian gastronomy, During the trip we will know different ecosystems and local culture.

The Spots:
Lamas: The biggest native community of this land.
Chazuta: A small community known by its cacao production and pottery located at the Huallaga River.
Lake Sauce: An amazing spot with a beautiful lake.

As a tailored trip we are open to discussing any request about your biking expectations.
Trip with private transportation:
Pre: We recommend to fly in the afternoon to have enough time to prepare stuff for next day.
Day 1: Ride from Lamas to San Antonio de Cumbaza finishing in Tarapoto. Hotel.
Day 2: Shuttle to the local ferry boat to cross Huallaga River and climb to Laguna Sauce, then we return back down to the river valley to get the hotel at the Huallaga River.
Day 3: Ride to Chazuta, after some moments there to know the local culture we´ll return to the hotel and shuttled to the next afternoon ride in La Union district.
Post: Flight back to Lima next day or in the last night flight.
Extensions:
Yurimaguas: A road connects the city of Tarapoto with Yurimaguas in the Amazon Basin.
OUR CONDITIONS:
Any broken or damaged part of the bike
or equipment, made intentionally or not, caused by riders or terrain
issues must get paid back at commercial prices (ex: frame, levers,
gears, derrailleur, tyres, wheels, helmet, gloves, etc).
Any injury
caused by any reason during the ride is fully responsability of the
rider and any medical or transportation cost must be covered by the
rider. This is an adventure sport activity subject by its nature to any
kind of non expected events.
What to bring:
Try to bring your equipment.
Depending on the level any ride is no less than four hours, so you must carry at least 1 or 2 Lt of water, some snacks and fruits.
A wind vest or a couple of layers if it rain and sunscreen.
Some important travel notes:
We supply private transportation but partial support during the rides.
Weather in the jungle is not predictable and can makes us change the schedule.

Recommended the dryest season it means: May to October, anyways rain is always a chance in the Amazon.
