La Molina

This is a wekend ride to the east side of the city by streets.
Perfect for low budget and good training on an average of 50K and 600mt of total climb.

Recommended for:
Everyone with average training.

All year.

In Brief:
600 mt Positive Elevation / 50 Km / 3h00 hours riding time.

About the Place:

The east of the city of Lima has a lot of high mountains that we must pass and leave behind if we want to travel to the Andes.
These surrounding mountains today are fulfilled with houses of different social conditions and some of them can be ridden with low traffic and good safety conditions, best on weekends in the districts of Surco and La Molina.
So if you want to do a good ride with some altitude to gain this is the right choice.

About the Ride:

Starting from our place in Surco, we will go to La Molina, the average ride is 50K and 500mt climb but may be a bit longer and more climb, depending on our goal and training.

What to bring:

Try to bring your own basic equipment: helmet, gloves.
Just a small snack and 1 Lt of water. Sunscreen in summer.
A wind vest or a couple of layers on winter days.

During July to September, rains are more frequent in the city, be aware of this issue, these days ride may be delayed or cancelled if the weather may not secure a safe ride. Lima is a city not well prepared for rain and when is wet it takes a lot of time to get dried.
