Lurin River Valley

The bikers option for those who like to cycle on gravel and paved roads.
Starting from Cieneguilla district we will climb to our goal: Antioquia village following the Lurin river. Endurance is the key for this destination.

Recommended for:
Intermediate with training.

April to December.

Riding time:
5-6 hours approx.

About the Place:

Lurin River is south from Lima and is the nearest point to do a ride that kind.
Cieneguilla district is at 300 masl and located in the main road that follows the Lurin River that is born from water sources of the Andes.

About the Ride:

Starting from Cieneguilla (B) to climb 42Km to the small village of Antioquia (F) for a total climb of 1300m. 84Km in total.
If you are not prepared for such distance you will ride to Sisicaya and Nieve Nieve villages (E), to complete 22 Km of climb and 600m of altitude.

What to bring:
Try to bring your own basic equipment: helmet, gloves, sunglasses.
You have not to carry lot of supplies, there are some points to recover and get some water or fruit. Just a small snack and 1 Lt of water, we will refill during the ride. A windvest or a couple of layers in winter days unless you choose a longer ride. Sunscreen.

Meeting time: From April to December: 6:30 am

NOT INCLUDED: Transportation to/from your hotel and our office. You must take a taxi to our meeting point in Surco, 10 minutes by car from Miraflores or Barranco, average cost of 5 USD.

2. Pick up/drop off from/to hotel

INCLUSIONS: Pick up / Drop off Hotel in Miraflores/Barranco districts, if you are staying in other side of the city, please ask

GENERAL INCLUSIONS: Mountain bike full suspension or hardtail as available, helmet and gloves if needed. If you bring your biking shoes we can include SPDs pedals.

NOT INCLUDED: Meals, snacks, water or any personal spend.

Any broken or damaged part of the bike or equipment, made intentionally or not, caused by riders or terrain issues must get paid back at commercial prices (ex: frame, levers, gears, derrailleur, tyres, wheels, helmet, gloves, etc).
Any injury caused by any reason during the ride is fully responsability of the rider and any medical or transportation cost must be covered by the rider. This is an adventure sport activity subject by its nature to any kind of non expected events.
