About the Place:

El Morro is a dry, rocky and dusty place, located in the southern extreme of Lima bay. Because of its location and height (near 300m) weather is the same as the city and during summer is very hot and dry, so trails become very loose and heath is a killer if you plan to ride late.

Is also an historical place, there in the bottom, facing the old valley lived thousands of Inca people, but when the city grew, starting in 1940s practically any old construction was started to be erased. That city was known as Armatambo.

During 1881 it was part of the line of defense of the city of Lima, located around 20Km north. Finally the defense fell under the Chilean army.

Because of safety issues El Morro cannot be ridden but on special days and hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 6 to 10 am.

The Ride:
Morro trail is around 12K doing some extra loops may ride 15-16K that can be done in a maximum of couple of hours of full up and down XC/enduro singletracks.

Biking from our Headquarters

Take a taxi by app to our meeting point in Surco district, 10 minutes by car from Miraflores. Start/finish from our location and 30 minutes biking by streets to Chorrilllos, the starting point of the trails of El Morro.
Once arrived to Herradura Beach, we will climb up near 800 ft to the top of the hill, to ride a short singletracks of the top of the hill, then downhill to the second level to ride more singletracks, and finally go down to the bottom of the hill where we find more trails.
