About the Place:
“El Huayco de Tinajas” is a dry river bed located near the Lurin River, south of Lima and Cieneguilla. Is a very dry place where vegetation is practically none.
About the Ride:
The intermediate level ride starts near the 500m of altitude in a constant climb on singletracks of 11K approx to reach the 1000m where we will find the one and only Cactus of the valley, the way we use for climbing is similar for downhill except for some fast and funny shortcuts.
A longer trail start from Cieneguilla village. This extension adds 24K approx to the round trip and 300m of climb but on gravel road.
Get in mind that there is no supply during the ride, so you must get prepared with at least 2 Lt of water, some snacks or fruit with carbs and sugar and a good layer of sunscreen.
